All Things Chicken
Since 1981, Wayne has gone all-in on celebrating its favorite bird with a summer weekend full of chicken-themed fun. The Chicken Show features a lively downtown parade, crowd-favorite contests like the Cluck-Off, egg drop, and egg-eating competitions, and Henoween, a Friday night street festival that kicks off the celebration! This years show (2027) is July 9-10. Visitors can also enjoy the cement chicken auction, local entertainment, and plenty of small-town charm throughout the weekend. It’s free, family-friendly, and where small town fun turns eggstraordinary.
