The enthusiasm for Wayne’s 29th Annual Chicken Show is spreading nationwide, and we would like you to join in the “egg-citement”!

On behalf of the Chicken show parade committee I would like to “egg-stend” an invitation for you to participate in the Chicken Show Parade. It is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at 9:30 a.m.

This year’s theme: “O' Pioneer Chickens-Roostin' in Wayne 1884-2009”

Any entry, large or small, is welcome. We encourage you to design your entry around our theme or incorporate a design tied to chickens. Many entries have used humor and puns in their designs, which provide additional entertainment. Entries are judged based on the following categories:

1st Place - Best 2008 Theme Related

$100 Prize

2nd Place - Best Overall Chicken Related

$50 Prize

3rd Place - Best Organization Chicken Related

$25 Prize

Best Individual Child

Sponsored by Eagles Club
$10 Prize

Best Children’s Group

$10 Prize

To enter, please complete this downloadable form and return with your $5 entry fee by June 29, 2009. Numbers are assigned according to receipt of registration. See registration form for instructions on number pick up, and parade line up.

Please call the Wayne Area Chamber of Commerce at 402-375-2240 or Cathy Varley at 402-833-0110 if you have any questions.
